Holiday Calendar 2023 India
The year 2023 is a special year for India as it marks the 76th anniversary of the country’s independence. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the government has declared a list of holidays for the year. This list includes both gazetted and state government holidays, as well as stock market trading and NEFT RTGS holidays. School, college, and university holidays are also included in the list. The holiday list in India 2023 provides a wide range of holidays for people to enjoy. All of these holidays provide opportunities for people to enjoy their time off from work or school and to spend time with family and friends.
Holiday Calendar September 2023
September 2023 has a total of 30 days, starting on Friday, September 1, and ending on Saturday, September 30. There are five Saturdays and four Sundays in the month. Various holidays will be observed in September 2023, including Sri Krishna Janmashtami on September 6 (Wednesday), Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8)/Sri Krishna Ashtami on September 7 (Thursday), and Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata/Vinayaka Chathurthi on September 18 (Monday). Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha) will be celebrated on September 19 (Tuesday), followed by Ganesh Chaturthi (2nd day)/Nuakhai on September 20 (Wednesday). The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), which is the nodal department of the Indian Government, has recently released an important notice concerning holidays for Central Government offices in Delhi/New Delhi. The order provides guidelines, rules, and regulations for finalizing the holidays for Central Government offices around India. Each year in June, DoPT releases a notification for the holidays that will be observed by Central Government Employees in the following year. This serves as a base declaration of holidays for all Government offices in India. The nomination committee members (CGEWCC) will finalize and publish the list of holidays for the CG offices located in the State, as per DoPT’s instructions.
