Bank of India Holiday Homes
Bank of India Welfare Committee maintains various Holiday homes in different places of religious & Tourist importance throughout India. It gives all staff members availing LFC or visiting places, accommodation at a negligible price. This facility is also available to Retiree Employees. The uniform guidelines for maintaining Holiday Home are as follows:-
1. Application form/request letter to be submitted by staff members for allotment of room(s) in Holiday Home.
2. Proper record of applications received to be maintained by HR Department, Zonal Office.
3. Allotment of room(s) in the Holiday Home to be made on a first-come-first allotment basis (may be maximum 90 days in advance) and the allotment of room(s) should not be made for more than 4 days at a time at a particular Holiday Home.
4. Allotment Letter to be sent by Zonal Office (signed by an authorized official from HR Department), administering the Holiday Home (Central and/or Zonal Holiday Home) as per Annexure-II to this IOM. Intimation about allotment of the room(s) OR non-allotment of the room(s) to be sent immediately to the applicant.
5. Allotment of room(s) not to be made in pre-decided block of 2/3/4 days. Allotment of the room(s) to be made on a day-to-day basis (daily), means if the request received is for one / two / three specific date(s) / day(s), the same may be considered for the requested day(s) only, subject to availability of room(s).
6. Room rent Rs. 100/- per day per room to be recovered from the allottee (only when the allotment is made to the staff member).
7. The record of applications received. allotment of room(s) / rent recovery, etc. may remain available for perusal by the Secretary / Treasurer of the Zonal Welfare Committee.
8. Retired employees(self and spouse only) are eligible to apply 30 days in advance for booking a room in the Holiday Home. Application to be submitted to the concerned Zone maintaining the Holiday Home. General guidelines for retired employees are as follows:
a. retired from Bank’s service on superannuation;
b. voluntarily retired under the Bank’s Pension Regulations or Bank of India (Officer’s) Service Regulations;
c. voluntary retired under Special Scheme i.e. VRS-2000; are eligible to avail holiday home facility.
d. The rules/guidelines governing Holiday Home are to be applied uniformly.
9. While allotting Holiday Homes to retiree Employees, it is to be ensured by allotting authority that no request of the present employee is pending for allotment.
10.No retired employees should be allotted the same Holiday Home on more than one occasion in a calendar year.
11. The Holiday Home where the room rent is being paid by Bank on an actual occupancy basis (i.e. Bangalore, New Delhi, Mysore) is excluded from being allotted to the retired employees.
12. Appropriate TDS, wherever applicable, to be deducted while effecting payment to the Hotelier/owner of the premises / Contractor of the Holiday Home. The aforesaid instructions are to be followed by the Zone administering /maintaining Central Holiday Home and also to bring the same to the notice of all staff members in the Zone. Other Zones that are not administering, or maintaining any Holiday Home may only bring these guidelines to the notice of all staff members working in their respective Zones.

List of BoI Central Holiday Homes
General Guidelines: Please contact the respective Allotting Authority for further details availability of rooms. Allotments on a first-come-first basis and not more than 4 days at a time on a day-to-day basis. Charges to be recovered from staff members for availing Holiday Home facility is Rs. 100/- per day per room. Retired employees shall not be allotted the same Holiday Home on more than one occasion in a calendar year and allotment will be made before one month only.

BoI Accommodation for Medical Treatment
The Shelter
Provision of Residential Accommodation to staff seeking medical treatment at
MUMBAI.
Staff members from all over India reach Mumbai for medical treatment since
there are a number of Government / Private Hospitals in the city providing
the best available treatment at a reasonable cost for certain ailments. The preliminary
difficulty faced by these staff members is to find accommodation in the city at a
reasonable cost for the patient and for the person accompanying him. Our Bank has
taken a decision to provide solace to the sufferers by reserving a flat in Mumbai for
accommodation during the treatment period.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The facility will be available only to the permanent employee of the Bank posted /
residing outside the Greater Mumbai Area.
The staff members can avail the facility for themselves, his / her spouse, dependent
unmarried children and dependent parent who is required to undergo treatment at
Mumbai for any of the following ailments only: (a) cancer (surgery. Radiation,
chemotherapy etc.) (b) cardiac surgery (open heart, bypass / CABG / Valve
replacement etc.) c) Kidney / Liver ailments (surgery) (d) lung dysfunction (e) brain /
spinal surgery.
An application addressed to the President, Central Welfare Committee, Head Office
should be forwarded to HR Dept., Head Office through the Zonal Office along with
copy of letter from the doctor advising the required treatment to be taken at Mumbai
OR the proof of treatment being taken in Mumbai OR the proof regarding admission to
be taken for the required treatment in a hospital in Mumbai (in case of planned
surgery/treatment)
- Accommodation charges for the patient: NIL
- A person accompanying the patient: Rs. 50/- per day. Only one person will be
permitted to stay (preferably close relative) - The maximum period of stay: 21 days for Cancer patients for other patients 15 days
OVERSTAYING WILL NOT BE PERMITTED
Fixed vegetarian breakfast/lunch/dinner will be available at extra cost and the
same will be provided by the caretaker Cooking at the Shelter by occupants is
not permitted.

The facility will be made available to eligible staff members strictly as per the
modalities mentioned by Head Office which are given below: The facility will be entrusted to Zonal Staff Welfare Committee
Accommodation will be made available to patients coming from outside the city limits (urban agglomeration) for treatment in Chennai. The application must be
accompanied by a Doctor’s letter or proof of treatment to be administered at
Chennai.
Only permanent staff members may avail of the facility for treatment of themselves or
their dependent family members only.
Accommodation will be made available strictly for 1 patient + 1 attendant in each room.
Allotments will be made on a first come first basis. Allotment will be made by HR Dept.
Zonal Office, Chennai. A Letter of Allotment will be issued giving the details.
Cooking by occupants is not allowed. Tea / Coffee may be provided by the caretaker at extra cost (rate to be fixed by Zonal Office from time to time)
A nominal charge of Rs. 50/- per day per room shall be collected.
The Staff Members who require the facility may forward their application through
their Branch Manager.
