TN Govt School Holiday List 2023-24
The Tamil Nadu government has released the Tamil Nadu School Holiday list for the academic year 2023-24, which will apply to all government and government-aided schools, as well as private schools. The school management will inform students of the schedules for the quarter, half-yearly, and annual examinations, as well as summer vacations. TN School Re-Open 2023-24
Schools in Tamil Nadu following the Tamil Nadu State Board curriculum will reopen on June 7, 2023, for classes I to XII instead of the earlier planned dates of June 1 and June 5 due to the severe heatwave conditions. Schools will function on a few Saturdays to compensate for the extension of summer holidays. The decision was taken after a consultative meeting with Chief Educational Officers from all districts conducted by the School Education Department.
TN School Exam Schedule 2023-24
The half-yearly examinations for classes 11 and 12 in Tamil Nadu may begin in the last week of December (December 18, 2023). Additionally, for classes from 1 to 10, exams may be notified to begin on December 15, 2023. The results for the half-yearly examinations in Tamil Nadu are expected to be released on December 22, 2023. The half-yearly examination holidays will commence from the last week of December 2023 (December 25, 2023, to January 1, 2024).

TN School Holidays in November 2023
In November 2023, the Tamil Nadu government took several measures to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens. Additionally, other districts including Tirupattur, Vellore, Ranipet, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Tiruvannamalai, Kallakurichi, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Tiruchirappalli, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, and Mayiladuthurai were also likely to experience heavy rain. In light of these predictions and to ensure the safety of students and staff, at least eight districts declared a holiday for educational institutions on November 14. This proactive approach by the Tamil Nadu government reflects their commitment to prioritizing the well-being of its citizens during times of emergencies and adverse weather conditions.
