Vasant Panchami Meaning
Vasant Panchami, also known as Saraswati Puja in memory of Goddess Saraswati, is a festival dedicated to the preparation for the arrival of spring. People in the Indian Landmass celebrate this festival in various ways depending on the region. Vasant Panchami also marks the beginning of Holika and the preparation for Holi which will take place after forty days. The Vasant Utsav (festival) in Panchami is celebrated for forty days in the spring, as the transition period of any season is 40 days, after which the season is in full bloom.
