The Securities and Exchange Board of India, also known as SEBI, was initially created as a non-statutory organization on the 12th of April, 1988, through an official resolution by the Government of India. In 1992, SEBI was established as a statutory body and the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992) was implemented on the 30th of January, 1992.

Additionally, the list includes Mahatama Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2023, Dussehra on October 24, 2023, Diwali Amavasya on November 12, 2023, Diwali on November 14, 2023, Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 27, 2023, Christmas on December 25, 2023, Republic Day on January 26, 2024, Mahashivratri on February 18, 2024, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19, 2024, Holi on March 7, 2024, Gudhi Padwa on March 22, 2024, Ram Navami on March 30, 2024, Mahavir Jayanti on April 4, 2024, Good Friday on April 7, 2024, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on April 14, 2024 and Ramzan Id on April 22, 2024.
