A new easterly wave is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall to several areas, with isolated heavy rainfall possible in Tamil Nadu, Kerala-Mahe, and South Interior Karnataka from November 3rd to 5th.
No significant weather conditions are anticipated in the rest of the country over the next five days.
Rainfall data for the past 24 hours until 8:30 am IST on November 1st, 2023, indicates:
– Isolated places in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu experienced light to moderate rainfall.
– Notable rainfall amounts were recorded in various locations: Hut Bay (South Andaman) and Port Blair (South Andaman) received 6mm each, while long Island (North & Middle Andaman) received 5mm. Nancowry (Nicobar) received 4mm.
– In Konkan & Goa, Quepem (South Goa) received 5mm, and Pernem (North Goa) received 5mm.
– Gokarna (Uttara Kannada) in Coastal Karnataka received 3mm.
