Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) Office Holiday List in India 2023 PDF
The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released its official holiday list for the year 2023 in PDF format. This list follows the holiday pattern recently declared by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for Central Government offices. The employees of LIC will observe the same holidays as per this list. Additionally, the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has also issued a new holiday list for its staff members for the year 2023. For your reference, we have included the detailed notification of this list below. Furthermore, it is important to note that all LIC offices located across India will be closed on every Saturday in accordance with the Negotiable Instruments Act of 1881.

1. Under provisions of Chapter VI of IRDAI Staff (Officers and Employees) Regulations, 2016, the Competent Authority has approved the declaration of the following holidays to be observed by all offices of IRDAI during the calendar year 2023.

The following are the holidays for LIC office in January 2023: New Year’s Day on January 1st, which falls on a Sunday and is a restricted holiday; Makar Sankranti or Magha Bihu on January 14th, which is a Saturday and a restricted holiday; Pongal on January 15th, which falls on a Sunday and is a restricted holiday; Basant Panchami or Sri Panchami on January 26th, which is a Saturday and a restricted holiday; and Republic Day on January 26th, which falls on a Thursday.
