Anbil Mahesh Poyamozhi, the Education Minister, has recently made an official announcement regarding the school holidays. According to the announcement, public school students will enjoy a half-year holiday starting from December 25th to January 2nd. The minister held a review meeting with Education Department representatives from the southern districts in Tirunelveli last Thursday. This announcement comes as a relief to many students and their families as it was previously speculated that there might not be any holidays this year due to the academic year starting later than usual. It is important to note that the School Education department has also cancelled the half-yearly and quarterly exams.
