Tamil Nadu Public Holidays 2022
The State Government of Tamil Nadu on 2nd November 2021 announced a fresh list of 23 public holidays during the year 2022 for all state government offices.
The Government Gazette (G.O. No.935) is published by the Department of Public (Miscellaneous) under Negotiable Instrument Act 1881 for all the state government offices and all commercial banks including co-operative banks in Tamil Nadu for the year 2022. Pongal Holidays in TN 2022
This year the most vibrant festival of Pongal is celebrated in Tamil Nadu on 14th January 2022 (Friday) and the Uzhavar Thirunal, Mattu Pongal, Kaanum Pongal are also celebrated on Saturday (15.1.2022) and Sunday (16.1.2022). In Tamil Nadu, all Central and State Government offices, Private and Nationalized banks, Post offices, Private offices including school and colleges remain closed on account of Pongal festival.
